One Star

The 1 star is a clear stepping stone to becoming a paddler. The course will include personal paddling skills, rescue skills, safety, leadership & group skills and theory. The award is obtained by taking the assessment in any style of kayak and canoe, candidates must be water confident. If under 14 the paddle sport start course may be more appropriate.
